Here are the types of editing I offer and my estimated rates. My goal is to improve the self-published novels I love so much, so please reach out these fees are prohibitive and we'll try to come to a compromise based on your circumstances. Upon reading the first few pages of your work, I will let you know what level of editing I would recommend and the corresponding rate. As a rough estimate, editing will take about one week for each 25k words.
Proofreading

For texts that have already been copy edited, mainly correcting spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors
Light Copy Editing
~ $0.0035/word
Consists of grammar correction, sentence rephrasing, ensuring internal consistency
Heavy Copy Editing
~ $0.01/word
A more intensive version of light copy editing, with the addition of some line editing (improving the text at the paragraph level)
